OUR PASTOR
Scott Maclean gave his life to Jesus Christ at age 20 in 1985
His life was dramatically changed. He felt called to preach the Gospel and became a committed disciple in the church.
He married Anna, who originally came from Gdynia, Poland, but had emigrated to Australia, in 1992. They have since raised seven children.
Pastor Maclean has more than 25 years experience, having pastored churches in Perth, Western Australia, Jakarta, Indonesia and Sydney, Australia. He has preached the Gospel in nations around the world as a guest speaker and seen God work powerfully in many people's lives.
"God has opened the door for us to start a new church in Gdynia, Poland," he said.
"It is a great honour and the fulfilment of a vision God laid on my heart 30 years ago. Anna and I are here to help the people of Poland experience God's help for their lives and develop a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ."
OUR CHURCH
Our services begin with a song service (two fast songs, one worship) designed to praise and worship God and invite His presence into our church service. The Bible says God "inhabits the praises of His people (Psalms 22.3)".
We take time to lift our voices in praise to God and open every service in prayer.
Every service includes Biblical, God-centred preaching. The Bible message is timeless and relevant to our lives. Sermons provide practical help and a godly perspective on real life situations - from marriage and relationships to work life to living victoriously.
“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out... convince, rebuke, exhort... (2 Tim 4.2)".
Every service concludes with an altar call, an invitation to personally pray and apply the message to your life. We offer prayer for specific needs including healing and help.
There is coffee and tea available to build friendships at the conclusion of every service.
Church services
Concerts and outreaches
Our church hosts regular concerts, films, meetings with guest speakers and other events to reach our community with the good news of Jesus Christ, who told us to "go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." (Mark 16.15)
We also use these events to train young people in discipleship: Jesus gave His followers "on the job" training - everything from effective prayer to service. Those same followers went on to impact the world. We provide the same type of practical discipleship training to help people realise their potential in Christ.
OUR FELLOWSHIP
The Potter's House Christian Church Gdynia is part of a worldwide fellowship with a vision to preach the Gospel to local communities, follow the Biblical pattern of training disciples and launching people into the local and international mission fields.
Our fellowship began in a small church in Prescott Arizona in the 1970s pastored by Wayman and Nelda Mitchell and now includes more than 3000 churches across the world as we've sought to obey Jesus command to "Go into all the world, preach the Gospel to all people and make disciples of all nations".
We are a Pentecostal church that believes in the power of God to do miracles in the lives of people today.
